Posts Respond to Compression Without Compromising Durability

Richard Gawel

UniCore posts from Ultradent Products comprise glass fibers. The translucent and radiopaque posts respond to compressive forces without compromising the durability of the restoration, the company reports. The taper of the post corresponds to the natural anatomy of the tooth and is designed to perfectly match the space created by the Unicore Drill, which features a patented, heat-generating tip and a heat-dissipating, diamond-coated collar. Also, the drill’s specially designed flutes cut canal walls laterally instead of vertically. The UniCore Accessory Posts can be placed alongside the master post to allow better adaptation in the case of flared or oval canals as well.
