Solvay Dental 360’s Ultaire AKP (aryl ketone polymer) is a high-performance polymer for removable partial denture (RPD) frames. It was specifically designed to fill the gap between metal RPDs, which can be too rigid and stiff, and other polymer frame materials that can be too flexible. It also was designed to provide a biocompatible, lightweight, metal-free, nonirritating, and more aesthetically pleasing alternative to traditional metal RPD frames. Ultaire AKP is a rigid material, suitable as a metal replacement and different than the other nonmetal materials currently on the market.
