Synedgen’s Moisyn Rinse is designed to treat the symptoms of xerostomia while moisturizing and lubricating the oral cavity. According to the company, the Moisyn product line is the first glycomics targeted therapy to reduce pain and increase comfort for patients living with dry mouth. It does not include any alcohol, detergents, parabens, or chlorhexidine.

“Moisyn provides relief for the symptoms of dry mouth, a condition which is associated with tooth decay, disturbed sleep, oral infections, and a range of other oral health problems,” said Leo Pranitis, general manager of Prisyna, which will distribute the product.

Xerostomia most commonly affects the tongue and the roof of the mouth and may cause difficulties in speaking and swallowing. It affects as much as half of the elderly population of the United States, Syndegen reports. Over 1,000 prescription and non-prescription medications for conditions such as anxiety, depression, high blood pressure, allergies, and cancer may cause it.

Moisyn Rinse comes in packages of one, three, six, or eighteen 10-ounce bottles.
