The 3Shape TRIOS 3 Wireless connects via Wi-Fi to laptops and the TRIOS Cart, eliminating the need for a connecting cable between the intraoral scanner wand and the computer. Like all TRIOS models, it also can be used to navigate between scan pages on the computer, so there’s no need to touch the keyboard or mouse while scanning a patient. It includes 3 rechargeable batteries, and its battery exchange system is designed for nonstop scanning.

According to 3Shape, the TRIOS 3 Wireless features the same speed, accuracy, and technologies as previous TRIOS models, including color scanning, built-in shade measurement, and high-definition photos. Clinicians can use it to take digital impressions of a full range of indications and materials including removable partial dentures, temporary crowns, virtual diagnostic wax-ups, and post and core cases.

Furthermore, the company notes that the TRIOS lineup is seamlessly integrated with a wide selection of implant manufacturers, orthodontic treatment providers like Invisalign, dental laboratories, practice management systems, and select milling machines and 3-D printers for same-day dentistry.
