The 3Shape TRIOS intraoral scanner now integrates with the Dentrix patient management platform from Henry Schein. According to 3Shape, this is the first time that the Dentrix platform has integrated with a digital impression solution. DDX OS powers the integration.

This integration allows practices that use the TRIOS intraoral scanner to insert its digital color impressions directly into Dentrix patient charts. Also, Dentrix patient data can automatically transfer to the TRIOS system when doctors begin new cases with TRIOS.

Dentrix users additionally can open patient intraoral scans anytime when they’re working in the patient management system. This makes the practitioner’s workflow more efficient by providing a comprehensive view of the patient, including business and clinical data, in one platform, 3Shape says.

Furthermore, users won’t have to re-enter patient data. The integration also is designed to provide strong case and patient documentation and strengthen lab collaboration. And, users can view TRIOS 3D color scans on any PC in the practice’s network.

"Workflow efficiency is a key reason why doctors choose TRIOS for their dentistry," said Flemming Thorup, president and CEO of 3Shape. "The Dentrix integration makes running a practice more efficient and productive and give doctors one more great reason to go digital with TRIOS."
