A variety of cereals claim to be healthy. They claim to provide you with a great start to your day.

In many cases, however, that couldn’t be further from the truth. Instead of having healthy ingredients, many cereals contain too much sugar.

Some of the cereals with the highest sugar content include Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes. This brand contains more than 35 percent sugar in some cases. For comparison’s sake, if a cereal has more than 15 percent sugar, that would be considered a high amount.

According to an article that was published recently in the journal Nature, too much sugar consumption results in around 35 million deaths each year.

Too much sugar increases the risk for various diseases, specifically diabetes. There could also be an onset of oral health problems because of the variation in blood sugar level.

Sugar is one of the worst substances for teeth and results in obesity in many people. Obesity and tooth decay, however, are both extremely preventable if treated properly and if the person is proactive in handling the issue.
