DentalEZ will acquire Forest Dental, a 45-year-old manufacturer of dental operatory equipment. Located in Hillsboro, Oregon, Forest is known for its highly reliable yet simple technology, DentalEZ reports.
“Forest Dental uses beautifully crafted design to create a fun factor for both the patient and the staff,” said Heather Trombley, president and COO of DentalEZ. “But the brilliance of their design extends well beyond the aesthetic. Their products embody the design idea of simplicity, no more or less than exactly what the customer needs.”
The acquisition allows DentalEZ to continue with its new long-term strategic goals, the company says. The complementary product offering extends DentalEZ’s reach across a variety of customer segments, it adds. In addition, the companies will be able to leverage the benefits of shared supply chains and operational functions.
Current Forest customers will be able to avail themselves of the more diverse line of products available from DentalEZ, according to the companies. The Forest Dental brand will continue as part of the DentalEZ product portfolio, and the company will go to market as Forest Dental Equipment. Its current leadership team will remain in place in Hillsboro.
“The real beauty of this is that DentalEZ recognizes and respects what we have accomplished in the marketplace, and with their backing Forest can go further, faster than we ever could have alone,” said Hank Barton, who bought Forest Dental in 2004.
