KaVo Kerr’s Take 1 Retraction Paste promotes moisture control and hemostasis while temporarily retracting gingival tissues. Designed to be minimally invasive, the 15% aluminum chloride and kaolin clay paste prepares tissue for traditional and digital impressions, veneer or crown cementation, and composite restorations in class II, class III, and class V fillings. Unit dose capsules are packaged with retraction caps and tips and are compatible with standard composite dispensers, eliminating the need to purchase extra accessories.
Also, Take 1 Retraction Paste is available in two paste viscosities. The thinner consistency of the Take 1 Low Viscosity paste provides hemostasis and retraction. It also can replace the second cord in a double-cord technique. Take 1 High Viscosity provides thicker consistency to ensure the paste fills the sulcus for optimal retraction while providing hemostasis. Both are gentle on tissue for a better patient experience, KaVo Kerr says, and simple to clean off, requiring a quick rinse and air dry.
