3Shape’s TRIOS 3 intraoral scanning solutions are now available in the United States and Canada directly from Straumann. The lineup includes the full-color package, including digital shade measurement and an integrated intraoral camera, as well as an upgradeable lower-priced monochrome version.

According to the companies, the combination of the TRIOS 3 and Straumann’s compact C series chairside mill enables the Straumann Group to offer a top quality chairside solution for producing dental prosthetics in the practice. Plus, the TRIOS 3 has been integrated with ClearCorrect’s orthodontic solutions, which Straumann also offers.

“TRIOS 3 is a fantastic addition to our portfolio of integrated solutions, which include leading chairside and lab-based scanning and milling technology, 3-D printing, central milling, and ClearCorrect orthodontic solutions, all with interconnected software platforms, validated workflows, and materials, including our own new glass ceramic n!ce,” said Guillaume Daniellot, executive vice president of Straumann North America.

“All of this together with service support, implants, and biomaterials is now conveniently available from a single source,” said Daniellot.

The TRIOS 3 complements Straumann’s range of CARES lab and intraoral scanners and software solutions, which are developed and comarketed by the Straumann Group’s Dental Wings brand, the companies report. They offer an open platform with connectivity and a seamless, validated workflow, from planning the surgery to producing the final restoration, the companies say.

“Straumann is well-reputed for its dental industry expertise and comprehensive selection of solutions,” said Tais Clausen, 3Shape cofounder and co-CEO. “3Shape TRIOS makes a terrific addition to the Straumann lineup and now gives professionals working with them the widest range of superior options for treating their patients.”
