To celebrate the launch of its BLX implant system at IDS 2019 in Cologne, Germany, March 12 to March 16, Straumann is giving clinicians a chance to win a lion. The company will sponsor a lifetime lion adoption at the Drakenstein Lion Park in the names of three winners. Straumann already sponsors a lion named Tarzan there. Also, Straumann will give away 20 copies of Anna and the Lion, a children’s book, signed by company CEO Marco Gadola.

Contestants begin by watching a 27-second video about a little girl named Anna who enters the lion cage at a circus. Next, they simply guess what happens next in the story, while indicating what kinds of immediate treatment protocols they typically use when performing implant procedures, as well as other pertinent information. Straumann will announce the winners on its website after IDS 2019.

According to Straumann, BLX’s intelligent implant design allows for dynamic bone management and makes immediate protocols achievable and predictable in all bone types. The system is designed all indications to suit the clinician’s preferred treatment protocol, ranging from immediate to conventional placement and loading. Its portfolio features one connection and under-contoured prosthetics for easy delivery of aesthetics.
