A new generation of a low-shrink composite indicated for all classes of restorations, Shofu Dental’s Beautifil II LS (Low Shrink), available in syringes, tips, and 14 dentin and enamel shades, has been developed to minimize polymerization shrinkage and shrinkage stress. Featuring Shofu Dental’s proprietary Giomer chemistry and clinically proven in 8- and 13-year recall studies in international bench studies, it has demonstrated a volumetric shrinkage of 0.85% and polymerization shrinkage stress of 2.72 MPa. Credited for these results are a proprietary, new monomer and high-density prepolymerized fillers that also exhibit toothlike optical properties and aesthetics.
