Dr. Marvin Fier chosen to advance nationwide pilot program
Pomona, New York – Dr, Marvin A. Fier, renowned cosmetic and family dentist was chosen by the University of Louisville’s Division of Radiology and Imaging Science, to install and use a new and more accurate dental x-ray device. This new technology will reduce radiation to the patient by seventy percent and will conform to the new National Council on Radiation Protection (NCRP) guidelines when implemented.
Interactive Diagnostic Imaging, located in Marietta, Georgia, developed the Tru-Align device that further pinpoints the X-ray image in a patient’s mouth. The company along with University of Louisville chose only ten dentists nationwide to pilot the product.

The device takes a standard round tube x-ray machine found in most dental offices and pinpoints the radiation projection to a smaller more rectangular shape – resulting in a smaller amount of radiation to the patient and a more accurate/clear x-ray of the teeth and bones. The Tru-Align works with both film and digital x-rays.
Fier was chosen to conduct this project due to his experience and dedication to the latest technologies in the profession.
