Brutzer Named President of Ivoclar Vivadent North America

Ivoclar Vivadent has appointed Christian Brutzer president of Ivoclar Vivadent North America, effective July 1, 2019. Currently vice president of Ivoclar Vivadent NA, Brutzer will be responsible for leading the company’s North American subsidiaries.

Brutzer joined Ivoclar Vivadent AG in 2006 as director of sales for the Asia/Pacific global region and vice president of alloy sales for North America. He was appointed to the Ivoclar Vivadent AG Corporate Management Board in 2011.

Until July 1, Brutzer continue in his current role in North American operations and work with current Ivoclar Vivadent president and CEO Robert Ganley toward an effective and seamless transition. He also will maintain his position on the Corporate Management Board responsible for the Asia/Pacific global region.

“Mr. Ganley has enjoyed a storied career with Ivoclar Vivadent. Under his leadership, the company has experienced tremendous growth,” said Brutzer. “He was responsible for jumpstarting the aesthetic revolution, and many of his accomplishments still serve as industry benchmarks. In this position, I look forward to continuing his legacy.”

An Honorary Fellow of the Academy of Dentistry International and Fellow of the International Academy for Dental Facial Esthetics, Brutzer was president of the Association of International Dental Manufacturers from 2014 to 2016 and is now vice president of the Academy of Dentistry International Foundation.
