Aspen Dental has opened its first of six new dental practices in California, expanding its presence to 41 states. The new practices, all expected to open by 2020, will feature extended hours on weekdays and select Saturdays and welcome walk-ins and emergency patients to help break down barriers to care.

Located in Modesto, the first practice will provide a full range of dental services including dentures, preventive care, and restorations in a judgement-free environment, Aspen Dental says. John Farah, DMD, who received his dental degree from the University of Florida College of Dentistry, will lead the practice. Aspen Dental commemorated the practice’s opening with a “floss cutting” ceremony on June 26.

“According to a recent study, nearly half of the population in the Modesto/Sacramento area have experienced a dental emergency at one time or another,” said Abhinav Shukla, chief operating officer at Aspen Dental Management Inc. “Aspen Dental dentists and teams are committed to providing as a solution to short- and long-term dental care needs, all while treating patients with the compassion and respect they deserve.”

The California expansion followed the opening of Aspen Dental’s scheduling center in Phoenix, which was designed to support the company’s new patient demand and commitment to West Coast development. Aspen Dental’s other planned California locations include Hollister, Clovis, Visalia, Palm Desert, and Fresno.

In addition to affordable comprehensive dental care, Aspen Dental says, its new offices will provide a free new patient exam and x-rays for those without insurance, an onsite denture lab and denture money back guarantee, and financing options.
