Earth City, MO (July 12, 2011 )—The compassion of a hygienist and the purpose of a worthy cause is the perfect combination to spread the word about a disease that annually affects one out of eight women.  It is because of this, that Young Dental and Susan G. Komen For the Cure® have teamed up for a second year in a row to help in the fight against breast cancer at the “Celebrate With Young” event.  Attendees will come together to celebrate this partnership and raise awareness of the cause within the dental community on Friday July, 29 at RDH’s “Under One Roof”.  The event will take place from 7:30-9:30 with drinks and customized cupcakes.

In addition to announcing the launching of Young’s new website, ProphyWithAPurpose.com, which will be an informative resource highlighting this partnership, the winner of Young’s Caring Clinician Award, Michelle Noblet-Vacha will be recognized. Michelle, founder and Executive Director of Senior Mobile Dental, qualified for this award by demonstrating how she continually goes above and beyond when it comes to caring for patients through the use of Young Dental products.  This award will not only recognize Michelle as a hygienist who uses the highest of standards when it comes to caring for a patient’s comfort and needs, but also promote the importance of clinicians getting involved in the community.

Throughout the night, people will be able to enjoy the various fun activities Young has planned, as well as, have the opportunity to network with other clinicians and discuss helpful techniques and new products on the market.  Young recognizes the empathy hygienists have for those around them and would like to make it known how many go above and beyond in caring for patients.

By coming together for this significant cause, both Young Dental and Komen for the Cure® are aiming to create inspiration, hope, and awareness about the ongoing fight against breast cancer and other issues affecting the dental hygiene community.
