Suburban Essex Dental of West Orange, New Jersey, kicked off its Smile Ops on Memorial Day. During the campaign, Paul R. Feldman, DMD, will provide up to $50,000 in free dental care to qualified veterans and active service members in Essex County, New Jersey. Those who are interested in an appointment should call the office at (973) 669-0500.

“Our veterans sacrifice much to watch over us. Some of them sacrificed everything. I think it’s important to give thanks for this and to offer some help when it’s needed,” said Feldman. “Operation Smile was created to put a smile back on the face of our brave servicemen and women.”

Prospective patients as well as anyone who knows a candidate in need can begin by applying to the program online. Those who qualify for the program will be contacted by the office to set up a brief phone consultation to confirm eligibility. Feldman plans to continue providing free care until the $50,000 cap has been reached.

Feldman is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and completed his general practice residency at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. He is a Fellow in the AGD and in the International Congress of Oral Implantology.
