Texas Dentist Elected As ADA Speaker Of The House

CHICAGO, October 22, 2012— Glen D. Hall, D.D.S., a general dentist based in Abilene, TX, was elected today as Speaker of the American Dental Association’s (ADA) House of Delegates. Dr. Hall’s installation took place in San Francisco at the ADA’s 153rd Annual Session.

The House of Delegates, as the ADA’s legislative and governing body, is the organization’s supreme authority. As such, it speaks for the more than 157,000 dentist members of the Association and for the dental profession in the United States. The 473 voting members of the House of Delegates are chosen by the 53 constituent societies, the five federal dental services and the American Student Dental Association.

The House meets once a year, during the Association’s Annual Session usually held in October. As the House Speaker, Dr. Hall will preside over the legislative body.

Dr. Hall is a past speaker of the House of Delegates of the Texas Dental Association and has served on their board of directors. Dr. Hall earned his dental degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center Dental Branch in Houston.
