Palmero Healthcare has added two models to its ProVision Safety Eyewear product line that protect clinicians and patients alike from the harmful effects of blue light. Such optical radiation in the 350- to 500-nm wavelength range can cause moderate to severe damage to the retina and optical nerve, including burned retina, accelerated retinal aging, and macular degeneration, as well as injured corneas, photokeratitis, cataracts, and lens opacification.

The ProVision Eyesaver Sleeks ultra-light goggles, with a red frame and red bonding lens, are engineered to fit over prescription eyewear. They offer adjustable temples for a broader facial fit and integrated side shields for all-around eye protection. To complement the previous clear, grey, and green options, the red goggles filter out the harmful blue light rays generated during bonding procedures and when curing resin-based restorative materials.

The ProVision Infinity replacement lens and bonding lens are designed specifically to reduce fogging and static, with unique tilt and telescoping features that ensure the eyewear can adapt comfortable and optimally to any facial structure. In addition to the clear replacement lens, the product line now includes a bonding replacement lens that provides full protection from harmful blue light rays.
