The Centers for Dental Medicine / Life Line Screening Partner to Save Lives

Centers for Dental Medicine, Oral Systemic Medicine leader, and Life Line Screening, provider of 20,000 preventative health screenings to 1 million people each year have “Partnered to Save Lives”.

60 prevention oriented patients per event are introduced to a CDM trained practice who screens for periodontal bacteria onsite.  The 60% testing positive are invited to the dental office for a full periodontal risk analysis.

“Up to 15 new dental patients are scheduled per event” reports Leona Meditz, CDM’s Director of Development and Lifeline Screening project leader.

The Centers for Dental Medicine teach dentists and teams how to motivate 50%+ patients to complete painless, effective treatment utilizing improved diagnostics, lasers and home care. “This has proven to be less traumatic than periodontal surgery or the never ending quarterly “Soft Tissue Management” visits,” states Bob Schulhof, founder of Centers for Dental Medicine.

“Life Line Screening has been keenly aware of the preventive potential of dentistry and chose Centers for Dental Medicine to be our exclusive dental partner to participate in community screenings because we wanted consistency in the patient experience from screening to screening,” explains Dawn Abasta, Lifeline Screening’s Western Regional Sales VP.
