Johnson Named VP at Delta Dental of Minnesota

Delta Dental of Minnesota has named Mary Johnson, DDS, its vice president of dental services. Previously, Johnson was national director of the Principal Financial Group of Des Moines for 10 years. Johnson also was the owner and operator of Johnson Family Dentistry in Iowa. During her 24 years of private practice, she ran two offices, one of which served patients from rural locations with mobility challenges, including people in nursing homes.

“We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Mary Johnson to Delta Dental,” said Rod Young, CEO and president of Delta Dental of Minnesota. “With more than 30 years of dental expertise, we know she will help deliver our mission to promote healthier lives through oral and overall health. We look forward to her serving as a great thought leader, advocate, and resource for our dental community.”

Johnson received her doctorate from the University of Nebraska Medical Center and her bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln. She is a member of the ADA, a certified dental consultant with the American Association of Dental Consultants, and a past chair and speaker of the National Health Care Anti-Fraud Association Dental Health Care Fraud Workgroup.
