Steve Carstensen, DDS, has joined the SleepArchiTx Advisory Board. Carstensen has been treating sleep apnea and snoring since 1998 and is the cofounder of Premier Sleep, where he focuses exclusively on dental sleep therapy. He also directs sleep education at the Pankey Institute, is a guest lecturer on dental sleep at Spear Education, and lectures at the University of the Pacific and Louisiana State University dental schools.

“I am truly impressed with the comprehensive program that SleepArchiTx has created. I have not found another program that makes it so easy for practitioner to engage with the entire dental sleep process,” said Carstensen. “With the ADA’s adoption of a policy on dental treatment of sleep related breathing disorders, now it is more important than ever to have services that can help practitioners with dental sleep.”

“We are excited to have Dr. Carstensen on board. Our program will benefit greatly from his expertise as SleepArchiTx continues to bridge the medical and dental gap to enable dental practitioners nationwide to be successful with dental sleep medicine,” said Alice Limkakeng, CEO of SleepArchiTx, which offers a comprehensive, turnkey solution for dentists and specialists looking to integrate sleep services into their practice, according to the company.

Carstensen is a Fellow of the AGD and a Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine. He also completed UCLA’s Mini-Residency in Sleep, has held several leadership positions with the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, was chair of the 2010 ADA Annual Session, works with the ADA on current sleep initiatives, and is editor in chief of Dental Sleep Practice.
