The ACTIVA BioACTIVE-CEMENT from Pulpdent stimulates apatite formation at the material-tooth interface. This natural remineralization process knits the restoration and the tooth together while sealing and protecting against microleakage and failure. Also, ACTIVA is designed to penetrate and fill microgaps, reduce sensitivity, and guard against secondary caries.

The insoluble, moisture-friendly cement suits zirconia, CAD/CAM, implants, PFM, and all crown and bridge applications, according to Pulpdent. Also, it is safe for all patients and contains no bisphenol A (BPA), no BPA-glycidyl methacrylate (Bis-GMA), and no BPA derivatives.

ACTIVA BioACTIVE-CEMENT releases and recharges calcium, phosphate, and fluoride as well. The patented material contains bioactive resin matrix, a shock-absorbing rubberized resin component, and bioactive glass fillers designed to deliver strength and durability as well as resist fracture and chipping.

Pulpdent additionally states that ACTIVA is a “smart” material that plays a dynamic role in the mouth. It responds to pH changes with release and recharge of protective ions that help build strong, healthy teeth the way nature intended. It is a 2-part, light-cure and self-cure material packaged in 5-mL, double-barrel, automix syringes.
