Dental practice owners in California now can order personal protective equipment (PPE) including N95 masks, face shields, and nitrile gloves at no cost through the PPE relief program from the California Dental Association (CDA) and California Medical Association (CMA).

Assisted by the Governor’s Office of Emergency Services, the program launched in July 2020 to supply physicians and medical groups with much needed PPE that was difficult to obtain due to the increasing demand caused by the pandemic.

Supplies will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, though providers are asked to pay a nominal shipping and handling fee per order to offset the costs of managing the program, including storage, packing, and freight preparation.

Orders are non-refundable. The following items will be available while supplies last:

  • Coveralls
  • Face shields
  • Goggles
  • Hand sanitizer
  • Sanitizing wipes
  • Isolation gowns
  • N95 masks
  • Nitrile gloves

Providers do not have to be a member of the CDA or CMA to order supplies through the program. To place an order:

  • Visit ppereliefdirect.org
  • Crate an account using your NPI number
  • Browse available items and securely order supplies

Supplies can only be shipped within California and will take 10 to 15 business days to arrive.
