A-dec has updated its 500 chair and delivery system with built-in details and holistic control so clinicians can seamlessly activate, deactivate, position, and place instruments without looking away from the procedure and maintain confidence in front of patients, according to the company. For example, LED coolant indicators light up when a handpiece is lifted out of the holder for adjustments without second guessing. The delivery moves smoothly and stays put, A-dec says. Integrated exclusively on the 500, W&H’s Primea Advanced Air offers the cutting efficiency and control of electric with the tactile feedback of air, the company reports. It’s the world’s first air-driven, high-speed handpiece with an adjustable bur speed and constant removal rate, even with increasing pressure. Plus, the double-articulating gliding headrest and sleek backrest offer consistent support for the patient while simultaneously allowing clinicians to move in close for an optimal view of the oral cavity.
