Bellus3D is now previewing its FaceApp Pro, a professional version of its iOS FaceApp application that can scan a user’s full head in 3-D with a mobile device. With its proprietary patented technology, FaceApp Pro can capture a lifelike representation of the user’s face in 3-D in less than 15 seconds. It is now being demonstrated on the 11-inch and 12.9-inch Apple iPad Pro models incorporating the TrueDepth Face ID camera at CES 2019 in Las Vegas.

Dental professionals specializing in smile design want to create excitement and approval from their patients when proposing smile reconstruction through implants, veneers, clear aligners, or orthodontic brackets, Bellus3D notes. FaceApp Pro can export a 3-D model of a patient’s face in file formats compatible with most dental software systems so clinicians can present a high-fidelity “before and after” simulation of a patient’s smile. It also offers editing functions.

Bellus3D is showcasing solutions by third-party developers who have integrating its technology into their products, including 3Shape, DSD App by Coachman, and AFT Dental System. FaceApp Pro will be available for trials starting in February.
