Ms. Glasscoe Watterson has more than 4 decades in dentistry, with a BS degree in human service management, an RDH degree, and a master of business administration. Her business, Watterson Speaking/Consulting LLC, is based in Lexington, NC. She is a member of the American Academy of Dental Hygiene, the American Dental Hygienists’ Association, the Christian Medical/Dental Association, and the American Association of Dental Office Managers. Since 1997, she has been published extensively, including authoring 2 monthly columns: “Practice Wisdom” in Dental Economics and “Staff Rx” in RDH. In addition to serving on the editorial board of RDH magazine, she is a coauthor of Foundations of Periodontics for the Dental Hygienist, a text used in many hygiene programs. She has published 3 books: Manage Your Practice Well, The Consummate Dental Hygienist, and Real World Dental Hygiene-Where the Rubber Cup Meets the Road. A well-known provider of continuing education for dental professionals, she has presented for associations and major dental meetings across the United States.
