At the DMG America booth we saw the Luxatemp Ultra and Icon. Luxatemp Ultra is a provisional material that resists fractures. The demonstration involved Icon, which is a caries treatment product that doesn’t require any drilling or anesthesia. It removes any white spots on the tooth. Dentists don’t have to take the wait-and-see approach with it because it can prohibit the progress of enamel lesions early. The demonstration showed why it can be effective as it is without any drilling, while other similar types of products may need a drill.
