With advanced endodontic treatments designed to better preserve teeth in mind, DENTSPLY MAILLEFER and DENTSPLY TULSA DENTAL SPECIALTIES have been transferred to a joint business unit called Dentsply Sirona Endodontics.

“We want to support dentists in facilitating more comfortable classical root treatments by means of fewer treatment steps for the patient,” said Dominique Legros, group vice president, endodontics. “In addition, dentists should be empowered to resolve even the most demanding endodontic cases with the best instruments and materials.”

The new unit will be based in Ballaigues, Switzerland, Tulsa, Okla, and Johnson City, Tenn. It will employ more than 1,500 employees globally, including 60 associates working in research and development. Also, training has involved more than 73,000 dentists worldwide in collaboration with more than 165 universities around the world.

“We design and manufacture our own, tailor-made production equipment that enables us to produce close to one million products a day at our production sites globally,” said Legros. “Together we are best positioned to support dentists worldwide with state-of-the-art endodontic solutions that are advanced, specialized, and trusted.”
