Originally scheduled for March 10 to March 13, 2021, the International Dental Show has been postponed to September 22 to September 25, 2021, at Koelnmesse in Cologne, Germany. Its organizers said they expect the health situation and travel restrictions to improve by September, enabling more international partners and customers to attend the event.

IDS 2021 will be staged in September according to the new trade fair concept that was planned for March, uniting physical and digital elements. The #B-SAFE4business concept based on the applicable Corona Protection Ordinance will be part of IDS 2021 to provide the highest possible level of safety as well, the organizers said.

According to the organizers, the Association of the German Dental Industry and Koelnmesse have closely monitored the pandemic’s developments and analyzed the possible consequences on the trade fair activities of all personnel involved, adding that the health of their exhibitors, partners, and visitors takes top priority.

Also, the organizers said that exhibitors now have six more months to prepare for the event. And with the first IDS in two and a half years, they said, exhibitors and visitors will be able to meet in person and help restart the dental industry.
