Carolinas Dental Advisors will host the Tee for the ToothFairy Golf Tournament benefitting America’s ToothFairy, a national nonprofit organization that helps children in need get essential dental care and preventive services, on October 28 at Pine Island Country Club in Charlotte, North Carolina.

“We greatly appreciate Carolinas Dental Advisors for hosting this wonderful event,” said Jill Malmgren, executive director of America’s ToothFairy. “Most people take dental care for granted, but for the children who face barriers to care, our programs are essential to their oral health.”

Currently, 45 million Americans including millions of children live in dental health professional shortage areas, where there aren’t enough dentists to adequately serve the population. Proceeds from the tournament will fund programs that help kids who have restricted access to dental care protect their mouths from the pain of tooth decay.

“We are excited to host this tournament to support the work of America’s ToothFairy,” said Ben Chambers of South State Bank and founding member of Carolina Dental Advisors.

“The COVID-19 shutdown has made it difficult for charitable organizations to hold fundraising events at a time when families need help the most. We are looking forward to doing our part to help out and invite the community to join us in supporting the important mission of America’s ToothFairy,” Chambers said.

“I have seen firsthand the negative effects of growing up without access to consistent and preventive dental care,” said Dr. Bradford Picot of South End Dentistry. “The work of America’s ToothFairy is vital to the oral health of children from marginalized communities. I am very proud to cosponsor this great event and encourage my colleagues to get involved.”

Registration for the event is due by October 14. Sponsorship opportunities are available and include four-man teams and other perks. Sponsors include South State Bank, Dental Revolution, NaviPath Financial, and South End Dentistry.
