Dr. Jessica Yu Hsuan Hung has been selected as the first recipient of the Dr. Gary Glassman Endodontic Achievement Award. She currently practices in Markham, Ontario.

Established in 2019, this endowment fund was created to honor dentalcorp chief dental officer Dr. Gary Glassman for his lifelong commitment to dentistry and to recognize and support graduating dental students at the University of Toronto, according to the company.

Hung was selected by an undergraduate awards committee comprising faculty and staff who reviewed each candidate. Based on her outstanding academic and clinical proficiency in endodontics, dentalcorp said, Hung was chosen.

“I want to extend my warmest congratulations to Dr. Hung on her exceptional achievement,” said Glassman. “It is vital that we, as practitioners and educators, recognize and nurture the next generation of clinicians. Dr. Hung embodies the excellence and innovation that we need to foster for the benefit of the practice community and the industry as a whole.”

Glassman is a world-renowned practicing endodontist, global lecturer, and instructor in dentistry at the University of Toronto. He also is an alum of the University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry.

Donations to the fund can be made online as a one-time gift or set up as a monthly contribution.
