5K Run/Walk to Raise Money for LA’s South Bay Mental Health/Oral health Programs

The Second Annual Champions for Children 5K Run/Walk, hosted by South Bay Children’s Health Center (SBCHC), will take place on Saturday, May 30, at South Coast Botanic Gardens, 26300 Crenshaw Blvd, Palos Verdes Peninsula, Calif. Times are as follows: 7:30 to 8:20 AM, late registration, event day packet pickup and warm-up; 8:30 AM, run/walk begins and vendor booths open; 9:45 AM, awards ceremony; 11 AM, event closes.
      The walk event will raise money and build awareness of the need for mental and oral health programs for underserved children, teens, and young adults throughout the South Bay and the surrounding areas that SBCHC serves. It will attract local dental and mental health professionals, community partners, families, and local corporations. Expected attendance is 500. 
       Participants can run or walk the beautiful course as individuals or as part of a team. The day will be filled with family activities for children of all ages.
