Zest Dental Solutions has promoted its president Tom Stratton to president and chief executive officer (CEO). Stratton replaces Steve Schiess, who announced his retirement after eight years as Zest’s CEO and more than 20 years in the dental industry.

Stratton, who joined Zest in October 2018, has 26 years in the dental industry. He most recently served as president of Implant Direct. Previously, he was president of DEKA Laser Technologies. He also has held executive positions with Zimmer Dental and Dentsply International.

“I want to thank Steve for his leadership and contributions to the company. Zest has an impressive team with a proven track record of producing world class full-arch dental solutions leading to consistent growth,” Stratton said.

“Looking ahead, we will work to further enhance growth opportunities, introduce new products and services that serve our partners and customers, as well as explore new avenues for accelerated growth across new market segments and geographies,” Stratton said.

“When I joined Zest as president and CEO in 2010, my top priorities were to build a strong and capable team, expand the product portfolio, while extending the global reach of our flagship Locator Attachment System,” said Schiess.

“With these objectives achieved, I am ready to step back and hand operations over to the person most qualified to help Zest continue its growth trajectory, and I am confident that Tom is the right person to continue Zest’s strong momentum,” Schiess said.
