Teledentistry is an emerging trend as dentists use digital technology to collaborate and provide remote care. Designed for dentists who would like to offer these services, the TeleDent Referral Engine Starter Kit from MouthWatch includes:

  • Two MouthWatch intraoral cameras
  • Two Windows 10 convertible laptops
  • Two licenses for the TeleDent cloud-based, HIPAA-compliant software
  • Two online sessions for training and workflow integration
  • A waived setup fee

The kit will make its debut at the 2018 Chicago Midwinter Meeting. Kits include a one-year hardware warranty. Custom configurations also are available.

“For this year’s Midwinter Meeting, we’ve created a new configuration of our TeleDent all-in-one teledentistry platform to enable out-of-the-box clinical collaboration,” said MouthWatch CEO Brant Herman.

“This is not a one size fits all solution,” said Herman. “For example, one provider may already have a computer that they wish to use. Or perhaps collaboration will occur between three or more clinicians in multiple locations. Let us build a TeleDent Referral Engine for you.”

Designed to be a catalyst for enhanced collaborative care and increased referrals, the kit also improves patient experiences, simplifies workflow, and makes communication among the care team easier, according to MouthWatch.

For example, the kit increases referrals and makes case collaboration between specialists and general practitioners more efficient for predictable patient outcomes, especially in complex cases, MouthWatch reports.

Also, clinicians can use the kit to cultivate referral networks with sleep physicians whose patients are seeking a medically prescribed alternative to continuous positive airway pressure treatment.

The kit further enables the co-management of medically compromised patients diagnosed with oral disease to reduce systemic disease progression, mitigate risk, and achieve an improved state of wellness, the company says.

And, dentists and dental labs can share CBCT images, digital impression files, and patient photos to increase case accuracy and ultimately ensure patient satisfaction, MouthWatch says.
