Hu-Friedy’s HD Black Line Mirrors are designed to deliver superior visibility throughout any dental procedure. Featuring Diamond Like Carbon (DLC) coating on the handle and mirror frame that reduces glare by up to 80% for increased visibility, Hu-Friedy says, HD Black Line Mirrors are designed to optimize clinical outcomes. The black color of the finish provides enhanced contrast and visual acuity within the oral cavity, creating a distinct contrast between the instrument, the tooth, and the surrounding tissue, allowing for easy intraoral identification, according to the company.

The combination of DLC coating and the superior brilliance and color of Hu-Friedy’s HD Mirror glass facilitates quicker and more accurate visibility of the mouth, with a 113% reflection factor for exceptional image clarity, the company says. Front surface reflection provides a sharp, distortion-free image, Hu-Friedy reports. HD Black Line mirrors are 50% brighter than other front surface mirror glass and 38.5% brighter than rhodium-coated mirror glass, the company adds.
