OraVu’s DeVA-1 Dental Vision Assistant micro-endoscope system enables clinicians to see into the periodontal pocket for the nonflap treatment of periodontal disease and peri-implantitis. Its ergonomic features include a fully adjustable arm and tablet for height and angle variability, adjustable water flow to sufficiently flush away debris, an adjustable light with hundreds of LED fibers that extend fiber life, a long-life battery to ensure uninterrupted use, and a telescoping stand option that packs into a TSA-approved case for transportability, OraVu says.

The fully interactive DeVA-1 also enables clinicians to capture still photos and live video in situ during a procedure, which is helpful for sharing with colleagues, documenting progress with insurance companies, and encouraging patient compliance, the company says. It leverages OraVu’s Vision and Rinse Safety Sheaths (ViRSS), coupled with Dental Xplorer hand instruments, to provide superior performance and safety for minimally invasive, nonsurgical treatment of periodontal diseases, according to the company.
