The SDI Pola Office+ in-office tooth whitening system takes less than 30 minutes, increasing patient comfort and satisfaction while improving productivity and profitability, according to the company. Its unique 37.5% hydrogen peroxide formula ensures fast release of peroxide ions to begin the bleaching process, SDI said.
Also, Pola Office+ can be used with or without a bleaching light, since it does not require activation, though a bleaching light or standard heat-emitting curing light can accelerate the process. Plus, its neutral pH ensures maximum comfort during and after treatment for less patient comfort and lower sensitivity.
No separate desensitizer is required, as Pola Office+ has unique built-in desensitizing properties that inhibit postoperative sensitivity as well. Potassium nitrate, the key pain-reducing ingredient, penetrates nerve endings by blocking transmission of sensitive nerve impulses to provide a calming effect, SDI said.
No mixing is required. The dual barrel syringe system mixes as the gel is applied directly to the tooth for a consistent blend of freshly activated gel, the company said, which maximizes the whitening effect.
Also, the kit’s applicator brush tip has been designed for smooth and easy application of gel onto the patient’s teeth, especially in tight spots, SDI said. The sticky gel formula adheres to tooth surfaces to maximize the bleaching effect. Applicator brushes also have been added to the kit’s accessories bag and are available for patients to purchase separately.
