Ivoclar Vivadent’s Tetric CAD blocks are designed to enable dental practices to use materials from the company for all of their indirect digital restorations. The aesthetic hybrid ceramic resin blocks provide fast milling and polish combined with low wear, according to Ivoclar Vivadent.

The blocks’ combination of a resin matrix with ceramic and glass fillers is designed to offer an advanced chameleon effect, allowing restorations made from Tetric CAD to “disappear” into the surrounding tooth structure, Ivoclar Vivadent says.

Designed to be easy to use, efficient, and convenient to process, Tetric CAD can be milled, quickly polished, and seated using and adhesive cement, which contributes to chairside efficiency, the company reports.

Ivoclar Vivadent’s portfolio of CAD/CAM blocks now covers a range of indications, spanning including temporary restorations made of PMMA materials and permanent restorations made of ceramic, zirconia, and hybrid ceramic resin.

The Tetric CAD blocks are available in five medium translucency shades (A1, A2, A3, A3.5, BL) and four high translucency shades (A1, A2, A3, A3.5). All shades are available in two sizes, I12 and C14. Tetric CAD is available for the CEREC, PlanMill, and PrograMill One.
