The Isolite 3 dental isolation system from Zyris enables dentists to quickly and easily implement a standard protocol for consistent outcomes in procedures that benefit from and require moisture control and isolation, the company reports. Also, its cure-safe amber light option prevents the polymerization of light cure resin-based composites while still illuminating the inside of the mouth. Both the amber light and white light options provide three intensity levels.

The system’s hose design integrates the control head with the evacuation line into a robust and non-detachable unit that’s easy to clean and disinfect, Zyris reports. The device was designed to improve office staff efficiency by including a cleaning tip attachment for direct-to-canister or chair cleaning systems. The Isolate 3 also incorporates Liquidmetal into its design to make it lighter yet stronger than previous versions, according to the company.

The Isolite 3 design additionally includes an intelligent power vacuum base that serves as an adjustable Y adapter for operatories with limited HVE ports. The power vacuum base can be set to provide suction for the Isolite 3, the Isolite 3 and an accessory, or an accessory only, or it can be completely turned off for cleaning and sterilization. It can be connected directly to the power supply available in modern dental chairs as well.

Plus, the Isolite 3’s light management technology uses multiple sensors to dynamically manage thermal loads and light output to prevent overheating. And, the system works with mouthpieces that integrate dual-channel suction; protection for the cheek, tongue, and airway; and an integrated bite block for patient safety and comfort.
