The GC CERASMART270 hybrid ceramic CAD/CAM block represents a more efficient surface filler treatment and homogenous filler dispersion for a great impact on physical properties, according to the company. It achieves a stronger bond between the filler and matrix together with an increase in filler load, resulting in a stronger material with improved aesthetic properties, GC says.

CERASMART270 also offers improved strength and wear resistance, GC says. Its surfaces are designed to remain very smooth and glossy, benefitting aesthetics and limiting wear on opposing dentition. Additionally, its improved breaking energy and flexibility help buffer masticatory forces, suiting the material for treatment of worn dentition.

With fast and efficient milling, GC says, CERASMART270 enables restorations with precise, fine margins and an optimal fit in a very short time. It’s designed to be polished easily as well, saving time and money. For greater aesthetics, it can be glazed and characterized with the wear-resistant OPTIGLAZE color. Plus, it can be sandblasted or etched before luting, so it adapts to every practice. It can be adapted intraorally in case adjustment or repair is needed as well.

CERASMART270 is available in multiple shades and two levels of translucency. It suits a variety of indications, from inlays and onlays to veneers and crowns on teeth and implants.
