Kuraray Noritake Dental’s PANAVIA SA Cement Universal uses a unique silane coupling agent, LCSi monomer, to deliver strong, durable chemical adhesion to virtually all materials including porcelain, lithium disilicate, composite resin, and glass ceramics without the need for a separate silane or primer, the company reports. In addition, high concentrations of the original MDP monomer allow for increased chemical reactiveness with zirconia, dentin, and enamel, Kuraray says.

PANAVIA SA Cement Universal offers the same wide range of indications for adhesion and is recommended for all prosthetic restorations including crowns, bridges, inlays, onlays, posts, implant abutments, and even adhesion bridges, according to the company. And thanks to its single-step cementation bonding formula, cementation is now much easier, Kuraray says.

“It’s a great one-step cement that doesn’t require a separate silane or primer, creating a very efficient workflow. Not to mention, the cleanup is outstanding,” said Troy Schmedding, DDS, Dentistry Today contributor and beta tester for the product. “I know with PANAVIA I’m always going to have the best bond strength needed for long-lasting clinical outcomes, and that’s the best part.”

PANAVIA SA Cement Universal is designed for simple application, very easy excess removal, and room temperature storage. Available in automix and handmix options, it is applied without the need for a dispenser. It also offers a unique blend of curing technologies for a quick cure and durable seal, Kuraray says. The final result is stronger, more versatile, and easier cementation than ever before, the company adds.
