ANNAPOLIS, MD—August 18, 2011—The Organization for Safety, Asepsis and Prevention’s (OSAP) Educational Program Committee is actively seeking dental care professionals to conduct seminars, presentations and workshops at its 2012 Symposium.
As a leading advocate for the safe and infection-free delivery of oral healthcare, OSAP draws an audience of dental care professionals from around the world.
The theme for the 2012 gathering is Connecting To Drive Compliance. The organization is currently seeking professionals with expertise in areas such as compliance, preventing transmittable diseases, and increasing patient and provider safety.

OSAP has two basic needs for the 2012 Symposium:
Individuals and organizations who would like to host a course or workshop can submit their Program Proposals to http://www.osap.org/resource/resmgr/Symposium_2012/OSAP_Call_for_Programs.pdf.  The organization is particularly interested in those who can provide attendees with practical tools and best practices that they can take back to their schools, clients, clinics, practices or companies. Deadline September 19, 2011

Individuals or organizations who would like to submit Scientific Abstracts can do so at http://www.osap.org/resource/resmgr/Symposium_2012/OSAP_2012_Call_for_Abstracts.pdf.  Categories of particular interest include infection prevention, patient safety, occupational safety and health, and environmental science. The abstract judged best overall will receive the Tenth Annual James A. Cottone Award for Excellence in Investigative Research, which is accompanied with a cash award through a grant from SPSmedical Supply Company.  Deadline March 5, 2012
The 2012 OSAP Symposium will be held June 21-23 at the Loews Atlanta Hotel in Atlanta, GA. For additional information, contact Therese Long at tlong@osap.org or visit the symposium website at http://www.osap.org/?page=2012SympMain.
