Dr. Kugel, DMD, MS, PhD, has his PhD in dental materials and his executive certificate in management and leadership from the Sloan School of Management at MIT. He is the associate dean for research and professor of prosthodontics and operative dentistry at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine (Boston, Mass). He is also part of a group practice, Trinity Dental, in Boston. He is a Fellow in the American and International Colleges of Dentistry, the AGD, and the Academy of Dental Materials. He is on the board of directors of the CR Foundation, and with expertise in clinical research and aesthetic dentistry, he is also a reviewer for The New England Journal of Medicine, Journal of the American Dental Association, Journal of Esthetic and Restorative Dentistry, and CLINICIAN’S REPORT. He is on the editorial boards of Functional Esthetics & Restorative Dentistry, Journal of Cosmetic Dentistry, and Compendium, and he is Editor Emeritus of Inside Dentistry. Dr. Kugel has published more than 120 articles and more than 220 abstracts in the field of restorative materials and techniques, and he has given more than 300 lectures internationally.
