Dr. Freydberg is a 1968 graduate of the University of Illinois College of Dentistry and practices in Skokie, Ill (general dentistry and dental sleep medicine), and Phoenix and Glendale, Ariz (dental sleep medicine only). He is a Fellow of the AGD, the International College of Dentists, the American College of Dentists, and the International Academy for Dental-Facial Esthetics. In 2007, Dr. Gordon Christensen appointed Dr. Freydberg as the director of technology at the Scottsdale Center for Dentistry. He is an active member of the Chicago Dental Society and was the 2002 program chairman for the Chicago Midwinter Meeting, which drew more than 31,000 attendees. He was a consultant to the ADA Council on Dental Practice for more than a decade. His well-known technology lectures for the past 32 years led him to the link between aesthetic dentistry and technology, a term he coined “Techsthetics.” Recently, he has become a leading teacher on dental sleep medicine. In February 2009, the Chicago Dental Society awarded him the Gordon Christensen Lecture Recognition Award for his outstanding teaching contributions over the years, and in 2004, Dr. Freydberg received the Distinguished Alumni Award from the University of Illinois.
