HeadsUp Healthcare, a managed care company specializing in above-the-neck injuries, announced its successful completion of a System and Organization Controls (SOC) 2 Type II audit.

“HeadsUp serves large, sophisticated insurance carriers, employers, and third-party administrators in the workers’ comp space, companies that need high levels of data security,” said Chief Administrative Officer Bill Elliott. “Having the SOC 2 Type II attestation assures them of our ability to provide that.”

The SOC 2 audit was conducted by leading compliance assessor A-LIGN, a technology-enabled security and compliance partner trusted by more than 2,500 global organizations to help mitigate cybersecurity risks.

This audit reports on an organization’s non-financial reporting controls and processes as they relate to the Trust Services Criteria developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). The audit confirmed that HeadsUp’s controls related to information security practices, policies, procedures, and operations met these rigorous standards.

“Because we manage serious injuries to the eyes, face, ears, teeth, and head, time is of the essence,” Elliott said. “This audit confirms we have the processes and technology to expedite triage and ensure access to specialists.”
