Thanks to its interchangeable head system, the CamX Triton HD camera from Air Techniques lets users easily and quickly change between intraoral imaging and caries diagnosis, according to the company. In other words, dental professionals can use a single device and workflow for all of their patient communication needs.

With its slim profile, the CamX Triton is designed with ergonomics in mind to fit comfortably in the user’s hand. Its sleek and rounded heads also provide easy access to the posterior as well as greater patient comfort, Air Techniques states. Features include one-push auto-focus for immediate and clear images from any distance.

“The new CamX Triton HD offers unrivaled high resolution, delivering brilliant, sharp images with one click, then simply change the head to document visualizations of carious lesions and plaque,” said Lindsay Viola, product manager of diagnostic systems at Air Techniques.

The CamX Triton HD CAM head delivers images in HD quality, including video. Its flexible focal distance enables users to take images from full face to macro. The Spectra interchangeable head aids in diagnosis and early detection of caries as well as in visualization of plaque. Also, it can be used to demonstrate the progress of caries removal. Both heads feature scratch-resistant lenses, and they can be easily switched between camera and caries detection, the company states.
