Aseptico, a dental supply company, has signed on as the newest sponsor of SmileTree and Climb for a Cause! Aseptico not only adopted three oral health and treatment projects, they are also sending a representative, Chris Berry, to our Annual Hiking Event. This year participants in the Annual Event will hike the Zion Narrows, a 16 mile trek through the Virgin River bed. It promises to be a grueling, yet beautiful 12 – 14 hour experience.

“When we were contacted at a dental convention by Danny Bobrow, I saw this as a perfect opportunity to fulfill Aseptico’s desire to help. The creativity of using climbing as a fund raising tool for dental missions was especially appealing to me. I am an avid outdoor enthusiast and have always wondered if there was a viable way to give back while enjoying nature; I believe I have found that way”. Says Chris Berry.

SmileTree clinics provide children with oral health education, an exam and treatments. Clinics are held in the same location at least every two years to ensure continuous care. In 2012 the SmileTree hopes to increase the number of clinics adopted by Branch Offices to 50. The added branch offices will enable us to deliver an additional quarter of a million dollars in equivalent care!

Daniel A. ‘Danny’ Bobrow, SmileTree executive director saysWe are delighted to have Aseptico join our growing network of Branch Offices.  Their support is essential to what we do.”

Aseptico has been searching for a way to give back to their community locally and internationally. Being a part of the portable dental world gives them a good stance to help those who do not have dental treatment readily available. Starting two years ago the CEO, Glenn Kazen, instated a 20% discount on all items purchased for mission trips, non profits, and volunteers.  They hope to use the niche market and discounting to encourage outreach programs. However, they wanted to do more. The manager of domestic sales, Jeff Baxter, is directing a redesign of the website to create a way for doctors visiting Aseptico’s site to give back when they, themselves cannot participate in volunteer programs. This aligns perfectly with the SmileTree and Climb for a Cause programs.
