Ultradent Products and the Crown Council teamed up to raise more than $1.8 million through Smiles for Life between March 1 and August 1, 2019. Smiles for Life, the charitable arm of the Crown Council, has raised almost $44 million benefitting more than a thousand children’s charities in North America since 1998.

“I have personally participated in two humanitarian trips with Crown Council and have observed firsthand their members’ commitment and hard work in this effort,” said Karen Phillips, vice president of sales and marketing at Ultradent Products.

Crown Council is an alliance of leading-edge dental teams committed to promoting oral health, fighting oral cancer, and serving their communities through charitable work, according to Ultradent Products, which has supported the Crown Council for the past five years.

Dentists who participate in Smiles for Life donate their time to offer professional tooth whitening to patients at a discounted price. The patients then make their payments directly to Smiles for Life instead of the dental practice.

Then, 100% of the payment goes to children’s charities. Half is earmarked for a charity of the dentist’s choice, and half goes to Smiles for Life, which gives to charities such as the Garth Brooks Teammates for Kids Foundation, Feed the Children, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Ronald McDonald House, and more.

Ultradent Products donated all of the whitening products used, including Opalescence Boost in-office power whitener, Opalescence Go prefilled whitening trays, and Opalescence PF tooth whitener, which is used in custom-made trays.
