Dr. Pompa graduated in 1978 from New York University College of Dentistry. He then completed a GPR at Long Island Jewish Hospital, followed by specialty training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Lincoln Hospital, New York Medical College. He has earned Fellowship status in both the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and International Congress of Oral Implantologists. He has lectured extensively both nationally and internationally and in 2013 became a seminar series speaker/consultant for the ADA. He is also a speaker for the Colgate OralHealth Network for Professional Education and Development. Dr. Pompa is an author, having published in such journals as JADA and the NYSAGD Journal as well as Dentistry Today. He is also an inventor and was issued a US patent (No. 5,320,529) for his work in the field of dental implantology.
