The Healthcare Technology Report has named Carestream Dental CEO Lisa Ashby one of its Top 25 Women Leaders in Healthcare Software of 2021.

The Healthcare Technology Report called these women “integral in anticipating the unique needs of healthcare systems, companies, and professionals, recognizing the necessity for interoperability, security, and usability within embedded and frequently complex digital infrastructures.”

Carestream Dental said the recognition comes at a time of rapid development and advancement for its practice management, imaging software, and workflow solutions.

For example, the company’s Operation: Lightning Flash highlights its dedication to rolling out a stream of innovations that support its practice management software users in a fast-paced, increasingly cloud-based world of doing business, Carestream Dental said.

The company also noted its CS 3D Imaging software and how its CS Model+ clear aligner treatment workflow solution uses artificial intelligence for its case complexity indicator for real-time analysis while the patient is in the chai for more confident diagnoses and detailed treatment plans.

Ashby was responsible for leading the charge in refocusing the company on software, integration, and digital solutions, rather than just technology, when it became a freestanding digital technology company in 2017, Carestream Dental said.

Also, The Healthcare Technology Report cited Ashby’s work in supporting customers and employees in 2020 as the company virtualized all customer operations in just 12 hours to ensure it would be responsive to customer needs during COVID-19 lockdowns.
